The coil and or filter are probably dirty - it's essential to keep your air conditioning system regularly cleaned, serviced and if necessary repaired. We will also check if your unit requires refrigerant.

 If the air isn't blowing so efficiently as it used to, the air flow may be inhibited by dirt on either the coil or return air filters. Once the Evaporator coil, air filter and blower fan (drum) has been properly cleaned the airflow can double of not triple. Each drum can have up to 400 small fan blades and if the leading edge of each blade gets a build-up of dirt attached it becomes inefficient. A drum turning very slowly can be a sign that you need to replace a fan motor. 

This is generally due to very dirty filters.  If you don't clean your filters regularly, this is bad for the health of your air conditioner and for you.

 This may be the blower fan (drum) out of balance due to a build up of contaminants on the drum - a clean will solve the problem.

 First of all, make sure that your remote control is set on the right “MODE”. If it is, then you will need one of our Air Conditioning Wizards technicians to check the gas level or the compressor.

First check your batteries in the remote control, and make sure the power is turned onto the unit outside, If your remote won't work, try switching it on manually. The manual button is usually found near the electrical panel.  If you can't locate it, call a technician. If it switches on manually then our technician will check the receiver board.

Air is drawn from the room by the blower fan (drum) and through a return grill, and then passes through an air filter to a heat exchange coil called the evaporator. The evaporator is cold and thus removes heat from air that blows across it. As well as removing heat, water deposits on the evaporator surfaces and the cooled air returns to the room through outlet grills. Moisture falls into a drain pan under the evaporator and drains out through a pipe.

Air drawn into a system contains dust including biological spores and other organic particles. Even the best filters capture only part of this material - the rest falls onto the heat transfer surfaces where combines with water. Spores then germinate and grow rapidly, or “amplify”
