Summer is the busiest time for Air Conditioning Wizards. Domestic installations often want the new smart phone air conditioning technology. Previously in the summer our installation team designed and installed a comprehensive air conditioning solution for the Southside Community Church in Browns Plains.
This involved three new Daikin 25kw outdoor units to be fitted to the roof via a crane providing a total 84.5 kw of cooling capacity for the church. Before this could be started we stripped back the old and inefficient 90kw system to be removed by a crane. We needed to remove the old ductwork along with the supply and return duct attachments. The old (and noisy) unit had been used for several decades and was no longer operating at its full capacity. The three Daikin units provided more effective distribution of cool air.
FEATURES OF THE NEW DUCTED SYSTEM
Removing the old package unit was no light job! The 1.6 tonne unit required use of a crane, and the three new Daikin 25kw outdoor units were lifted with the same crane. We then connected the Daikin Rooftop Packaged units which include a range of features including:
- Variable head pressure control
- Standard 7 days programmable timer and LCD thermostat
- Self Diagnostic capabilities.
- Powder coated sheet metal drain pan for corrosion resistance.
The new air commercial ducted outdoor units were then mounted to the rooftop to receive maximum air flow. The Installation team then connected the head units to be discreetly hung inside the roof. We fitted ceiling diffusers to provide the multi direction air flow to benefit the large open space of the church.
The finished result was a more efficient, quieter and more effective air conditioning solution for the large open space with high ceilings and one which the church goers are sure to appreciate this summer.
